Yes, that matches our observations exactly and is the same in OOo 3.0 as it is 
in OOo 2.4.1, so my assumption is that there is some issue with headless mode 
specifically that creates these replacements where blank fields should be. I'm 
inclined to believe that it is writer because it does not exhibit the same 
behavior if the file is exported manually or OOo is run as a daemon without 
headless. That said, we would be happy to upgrade any other dependency 
libraries that you might suggest could influence this on our systems (and/or at 
least give you a list of what versions of various s/w we have installed) if you 
are suspicious that it may be an interaction with something else on the system.
