It is not appending the .pdf extension even if the box is checked for Auto Extension. The file generated is indeed a .pdf file, however the extension is defaulted to the same as the document. Renaming the exported pdf while still in the dialog box will not automatically change the extension, leaving the resulting exported .pdf file with the same extension as the originating document. As expected, renaming the exported PDF file to have a .pdf extension will allow the file to be properly accessed as a PDF.
