------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Feb 2 13:46:54 +0000 2009 ------- OK, I see that the new behavior since 3.0.1/3.1 (the page style initiates a page break in the first line of the first paragraph) is a a good enhancement for page breaks in styles in master documents. And in most times it is logical that a new sub document should initiate a new page. But in my case this new behavior destroys page numbering. There is a page break at the beginning of a sub document, but you can't customize the page numbering for this page break. If you insert a manual page break additionally, than the sub document begins with page "2" instead of "1". If you insert a page break with a paragraph style (e.g. "Heading 1"), than OOo crashes because of Issue 94285 and the the sub document begins with page "0" instead of "1" because it doesn't count the page where "Heading 1" is. - Or you can manipulate the page numbering by inserting an Offset on the page numbering field, but this manipulation is ignored in indexes. So, there is no solution for this case. PS: Should we rename this Issue from "Heading 1 inserts an automatic page break in Master Document spuriously" to "Unwanted page break at the beginning of every sub-document" or something else? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
