Check the default values for Language Settings (Tools > Options >Language Settings > Languages) – English (USA) is set for everything 3. Open New Text Document – AutoSpellCheck is “on” 4. Enter some text with errors – no spell check 5. Click Spelling and Grammar – spell check works 6. Choose Tools > Language > - For Selection – English (USA) is checked - For Paragraph – nothing is checked - For all Text – Nothing is checked 7. Check Tools > Language > For Paragraph > English (USA). Choose Tools > Language > For Paragraph – nothing is checked 8. Check Tools > Language > For all Text > English (USA).
