It's ok to close this dialog with the shortcut that called it because:
- This is the way other OOo *non modal* dialog (Navigator, Stylist...) can be
closed
- no other control is using Ctrl+F in the dialog.
Please, in the future, use "Ctrl+" instead of "^". It helps understanding faster
what you mean.
