------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Feb 5 05:19:30 +0000 2009 ------- I have a saved file named Directory.odt and I need to export it to pdf. I click on "Export to PDF" and the export window opens properly. The window contains the correct file name and indicates the correct action, i.e., "Save as type: PDF". I click on "Save." Now another window labeled "Confirm Save As" opens. This window says "Directory.odt already exists. Do you want to replace it?" Note the file extension shown in the "Confirm Save As" window. It is trying to overwrite the .odt file; it is not saving as .pdf. I also tried to save as a Microsoft Word .doc file with the same result. I cannot get OpenOffice Writer to save a text file as anything other than the .odt file I started with! The "Save As" and the "Export to pdf" commands worked perfectly until today--now they will not save an .odt file as anything other than an .odt file. I tried changing the name of the file to be saved in the new format (.doc and .pdf) but OO still wants to save it as nothing but an .odt file. I even uninstalled Open Office and then downloaded and installed it again but no improvement. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
