This issue appeared again with several other files. Digging deeper I found that
yum update did not remove previous 3.0.0 version. I deleting all versions and
did a clean install of OpenOffice. No problems now even with the example files
in the attachment.
Looks like having two point releases simultaneously installed is a bad thing.
Never had this problem with yum before from Fedora repositories. System is
Fedora 10 x86_64.
