I checked with "Ooo 3.0.1 (DE) Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m15
(Build 9379)]" and can confirm apetrie's observations.
Indeed, it's a small problem because is not visible in the running presentation,
but nevertheless it's ugly and strange, so the reasons should be explored and
fixed.
