------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Feb 23 16:41:51 +0000 2009 ------- My platform is Ubuntu Linux 8.10, and OO 3.0.1. When I print from FireFox 3.0.1 and the Document Viewer (evince), the print dialog and Print Properties dialog look identical. It provides all the options I'm used to having for my printer, including double-sided and multiple pages per sheet. These dialogs look different from what I've seen before on Windows, but they do provide all the required options. When I print from OO 3.0.1, the Print dialog doesn't look like the Print dialog I get from Firefox or Evince, it actually looks more like what this dialog would look like on Windows. What's worse is that the Print Properties dialog is very minimal, and it does not give me access to all the properties I need, specifically the multiple pages per sheet option (note that I'm not referring to the "number of copies" field). Someone on the OOo mailing list suggested I turn off the "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs" flag in Tools->Options. This flag is already unchecked, but I also note that the label on this section is "Open/Save dialogs", so this flag doesn't appear to apply to the Print dialog. This leads me to believe, however, that the ability to turn off the application-specific print dialog is "halfway there". Until this is resolved, I'll have to do all of my document prints from Windows, on another box. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
