Copying the usp-library into the OOo installation directory next to vclmi.dll
used to work quite well last
time I checked. This was before the infamous "three layer office rework" though
(http://marketing.openoffice.org/ooocon2008/programme/thursday.html "adventures
in reshuffling all of
OOo's files").
Other than that debug helpers that do not impact normal operation are used all
over OOo's code. We
usually do this with environment variables. If copying the DLL doesn't work
then getenv() like in
vcl/source/app/settings.cxx:1927 is probably the way to go.
