------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Mar 5 11:45:06 +0000 2009 ------- Dr. André is a very modest man and a perfectionist. I would not call his implementation a workaround in any way. In theory there are more efficient ways to go backwards inside a smil animation hierarchie, but the overall win would not justify the cost and complexity of such solutions. If André talks about playing the effects foreward, it is not the same as doing the animations on screen. He can do it with a lot less steps and without painting it. Processing only the internal effect logic is something your trusty 8-Bit Commodore 64 would be bored by rather sooner than later. The only 'performance penalty' is that the screen has to be drawn completly once. Yes this may take a big fraction of a second, but as a one time result of a user input this is more than acceptable. So everyone please encourage André for his very fine work solving a problem where others tried and have faild! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
