------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Mar 6 19:30:33 +0000 2009 ------- Issue description There is no simple way to change one one custom template (downloaded from your site and saved as template) and it is extremely not intuitive and not convenient to save your downloaded template as "template" but not as ordinary document. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to http://templates.services.openoffice.org/?intcmp=2483 2. Click "Use It" for some presentation background template 3. Try to save it. The first problems is that "Save as" proposes you to save it as .odp document. This means as ordinary template. For non experienced user it it extremely difficult to save it as a template so that he could reuse it again. But even if you managed to 4. File->Templates->Save and save it as template It is extremely difficult to use new template 5. Try to create new presentation. File->Create->Presentation and click finish. So you accept everything by default. 6. Try to use your newly imported template. At the task list right pane select "Page Background". And you simply can't see your imported custom presentation background. All you have is few default backgrounds and that's it. Again not experienced just can't find it. 7. Even if you managed to create new presentation and change default settings to create it from your custom template you have two issues: a)Select "page background" from the right task pane. You see you custom background as "used" but all other available background are default. So if you for some reason (even accidentally) change your background to some of the default backgrounds you can't switch back to you custom background because it disappears from the list of available background. You simply can't get it back! b)There is no simple way to change your current template to another custom imported template. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
