I can use this text direction without any problem. You can set this direction in
Format.Page.Page (the option called "Text direction"). If there is no
"Right-to-left (vertical)" option available there, you must enable "Asian
laguages" support in Tools.Option.Language settings.Languages.
BTW: you should upgrade to OOo 3.0 which is downladable here on OOo website.
