------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Mar 15 17:26:45 +0000 2009 ------- Couldn't this qualify as a bug instead of a feature request? From the current license (LGPLv3, inheriting text from GPLv3) it seems a "License" menu item, or equivalent solution, is needed. --- http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html An interactive user interface displays "Appropriate Legal Notices" to the extent that it includes a convenient and prominently visible feature that (1) displays an appropriate copyright notice, and (2) tells the user that there is no warranty for the work (except to the extent that warranties are provided), that licensees may convey the work under this License, and how to view a copy of this License. If the interface presents a list of user commands or options, such as a menu, a prominent item in the list meets this criterion. --- The license text is a bit unclear on whether these "Appropriate Legal Notices" are mandatory in the original program or in derivative works only, but the only viable solution to me is being able to directly access the license from a menu item. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
