Yes, such an exotic configuration would confuse our file locking implementation.
As a workaround we could check whether a file can be removed from a folder
before locking, and if the removing is not possible handle it as the case when
no lock file can be created. The only problem is that such a permission might be
set after a lock file is created. In this case we have no chance to do anything.

Anyway, such a setting looks for me as a misconfiguration, even if it is allowed
on windows.
