I did find msvcr90.dll 9.0.21022.8 in a folder x86_Microsoft.VC90.CRT_1fc8b...._d08d0375 within WinSxS. Per your instructions, I removed the Windows Explorer Extension, and the one program which mentioned Open Office 3 in the error message did then work. The other program, ArcSoft PhotoStudio2000, which says "JPEGLib.dll file is not a valid Windows image" is still not functioning. It came installed on my computer, so I do not have installation discs. I have been unsuccessful in trying to find a source from which I could download it, to see if a new copy would function. Again, thanks for your help.
