" Capitalize first letter of every sentence. Capitalizes the first letter of every sentence. The first letter in a Calc cell will never be capitalized automatically. " So it should work in calc if with it enabled you e.g. type "apple. apple test", i.e. the first apple will stay lowercase a, then after the full stop the second apple in that cell should become "Apple" when you press space.
