------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Mar 23 12:47:11 +0000 2009 ------- hi, this bug is not about fraction of the screen size, but rather about bad handling of pixelsized fonts used as system defaults. To test you can set your /desktop/gnome/interface/font_name and /desktop/gnome/interface/document_font_name to "Sans 13.333px" in gconf-editor. for /desktop/gnome/interface/monospace_font_name use "Monospace 13.333px". The effect is that the font size will be boosted which usually means that you try to parse font size on your own (or use pango_font_description_get_size), but don't honour the fact that it might be an absolute size (e.g. pango_font_description_get_size_is_absolute). In consequence you use 13.333 points instead of 13.333 pixels which means a size boost on all systems with dpi > 72. Anyway, we will provide more info after we have finished our investigation in ubuntu. Stay tuned. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
