DrawShape::createAttributeLayer() replaces the mpAttributeLayer with a new layer
object but does not reset the local state ids that are used to detect changes in
the attribute layer. With the state ids being out of sync this change detection
does not work anymore and making a shape visible does not lead to its
repainting.

This, however, does not explain why the second shape is correctly displayed when
its bounding box does not overlap that of the first shape.
