------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Mar 26 20:59:24 +0000 2009 ------- We are now in Open Office version 3 and this is still a issue. I use macros (as I have mentioned) and I make one or more file read only so that other people on the network cannot overwrite or delete them or change them accedentally. My macro software then opens these files, let the user make authorised changes and then saves the file with a new name. One example makes invoices with different invoice numbers. Unfortunately OO does not let the user make any changes to the opened file since it is Read only. To have the macros open the file, then save it as a new temp file before it can be edited is to cumbersome, so I am forced to stay with Micro$oft, which does this seemlessly. This is the same problem I have with the autofiltre which unfortunately does not allow for wild cards. Well, that issue has been lying around for ages as well. Lets hope somebody comes up with a solution. I would really appreciate it very much!!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
