------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Mar 30 16:47:20 +0000 2009 ------- All openoffice applications use only one core of the processor; though office work does not require that much of processing, but at certain cases (for instance doing lengthy scientific calculations in spreadsheets and making detailed and complex drawings in draw, or importing the same drawing to writer) time can get to more than an hour; this time can be reduced to half using all the 2 cores or 1/4th using 4 cores in quad core processors. The save times should also be dramatically improving on doing so.
