Sometimes, I have observed that:

General Problem: The format painter fails to completely change text color
and/or font for a selection block to the desired format.

Specific Example:
* I had the cursor active in an BLACK Arial 10 paragraph (source). I clicked
the format painter button and selected a new block of text which included some
RED text that was also part of the existing source paragraph that I wanted to
change. Result: The format was changed succesfully for the selected text,
however, Writer changed the text outside the selection area to Times New Roman
12. This was unrequested. So then I had to re-apply the format, experiencing
the same problem.
