That is proof that the defaults are brain-damaged and should not be what they
currently are. Perhaps the idea of uniform shortcuts across all system types is
not feasible at all. Do the shortcuts not work properly on Windows either... or
are you basically saying "we found what works on Windows so who cares about
anything else" including Gnome which is the defacto Desktop for Linux and most
*nix for that matter.
