Testing with M91 and the GNOME file chooser is still *very* buggy. Our small
test group has been moved back to the stock OOo file chooser. Here is what I am
seeing, and all are related and similar to this original bug and only happen
when attempting to use the GNOME file chooser:
* Sometimes Cancel crashes all of OOo
* Sometimes you select a file and OOo immediately crashes
* Sometimes clicking on the "Open" button crashes OOo.
* Sometimes you can pick a file, and nothing happens at all.
* Sometimes you pick a file, and the currently open window crashes, yet another
window opens after a long delay with the file you have requested.
I need some help in how to split this bug into pieces (if at all)? Should I
build more of those shockwave screenshots so you can see it? Attempt crash
dumps for all five types of problems? I think they are all related.
We are going to deploy OpenOffice 2.0 on NLD (Novell Linux Desktop) which is an
offshoot of Suse Linux. Possible that there is a problem with this flavor of
Linux?
Thanks.
