Sure - if we can avoid initialising the component at all, that would be the most
ideal outcome.
More important IMHO - is the issue blocking in input from mhu (or similar
suitable architect) - to add assertions to such code, to ensure that it will
never again be run on startup.
OSL_UNCONDITIONAL_ASSERT_NEVER_DURING_STARTUP()
or whatever :-) - needs to be scattered in all such places, to avoid the
inevitable regressions left & right here.
