------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Apr 4 09:54:16 +0000 2009 ------- In Spread sheet Ver 2.4.1 on Win XP SP=3 When doing Format | Cells | Category = Number and checking the "Thousands Separator" box only the whole number part of the number is displayed with commas. I’m an engineer and often have to deal with giga-this, kilo-that, and nano-the-other-thing. The thousands separator option helps a lot distinguishing giga from kilo because it applies to the whole number part of a number. The problem is that the thousands separator option doesn’t seem to apply to the fraction part of a number so trying to figure out if the number is 10 nano-whatsits or 100 nano-whatzits makes my eyes cross. Please make the thousands separator option apply to the fractional as well as the whole part of a number. That is, please make 0.0123456 be shown as 0.012,345,6. Yes, I’ll concede that the trailing ",6" is kind of ugly but without the commas is that 6 a micro, 600 nano, or what? It’s hard to tell. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
