I am trying to re-save a large document (24200 rows, 9 columns, of which two are
calculations) with a graph containing an equal amount of data (two full columns,
only where data is).

I removed a column from between the data and the graph next to it, clicking on
column J, rightclick menu, remove. The graph is then shifted to the left as
well. Then I save the file clicking on the Save icon. Before this point I have
around 1 GB free RAM, and between 500 and 1200 MB in use (2 GB RAM machine).

Now during saving the green status bar does not appear, the CPU increases, and
after 10 seconds the RAM suddenly shoots to 2 GB in use, crashing the program
with a runtime error of virtual c++ in soffice.bin, "This application has
requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

The same error and RAM overflow is produced when I do not remove column and do
not save the file, but when I double-click the graph to edit it another time.
Earlier in the editing process, the error would occur after extending the y
range of the scatterplot a with a logarithmic axis to include low values
(0.0001) where most of the points are found. The horizontal axis is formatted
time. For some reason I once got past this point, perhaps because I reduced the
size of the plotted squares to a dot, but then the crash occurred when saving.

It appears a memory issue.
