Obviously I'd like to see both issues fixed. I have downloaded, installed, and tested in 3.1.0 RC and the behavior has not changed: the spell checker continues to look at special-character-delimited words, and not space-delimited words. (example: xxx\'xx). Also, double-clicking a word with a special character in it continues to select only that portion of the word the mouse is over, not the entire space-delimited word. It doesn't matter what language the word "pai\'sa" is from (it happens to be Spanish with a publisher's markup for the accent); it could be any similarly special-character interrupted word. Perhaps "xxx\'xx" will be a less distracting test string. I have followed the word count issue and its correction last year very closely (I was one of the original bug reporters), and I can say with confidence that these side effect functions were overlooked when the code was altered to fix OpenOffice word count. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
