looking at the files: the "xml-indent spaces" are converted to "document-spaces"
Surely representing multiple document-spaces as with text:s with a
count-parameter is correct, converting the indend-spaces to document spaces is
not.
I fail to see a correlation between a bug on import with whitespacehandling
according to the ODF spec.
However, vanilla/upstream OOo doesn't ship with flat-xml filters and
pretty-printed xml within regular (zipped) documents is not affected (uncheck
optimize for size in Tools|Options → Load/Save).
