------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue May 5 18:15:42 +0000 2009 ------- I just downloaded 3.1.0rc2. I moved all my OOo stuff out of place so it was a relatively clean install. I was able to type x+y in an equation and produce a pdf without crashing. I then opened and existing file and attempted to create a pdf of that. Instant crash. I reopened my new file with the x+y equation and copied an equation block from an existing file. When I attempted to make a pdf of that, OOo hung. I next retyped the equation from the existing document into my new document. Making a pdf of that produced an instant crash. Checking console after the crash, I see the following. 5/5/09 12:47:59 PM com.apple.launchd[90] ([0x0-0x5f05f].org.openoffice.script[672]) Exited with exit code: 79 Now that it has crashed, I can no longer even produce the pdf of the file containing only x+y as an equation in it. (It hangs.) I've even tried dumping the prefs and script.plist to no avail. I'm beginning to think I hallucinated the one successful save. Back to 3.0.1rc2 which works reliably for me so far. The only remaining thing I can think to try is to completely wipe my hard-drive and reinstall everything from scratch - OO first - and see if it works then. I can't really afford to do that until after the semester ends. I'll let you know if that works. I hope so, since you seem to be claiming that mine is the only computer in the world that experiences this crash and yet mine does it 100% with an entire series of versions. Failing that, this is really a deal-breaker for me on OO. I can keep using 3.0, but knowing there's not future migration path for me means I need to find other options for my daily work in the long run, so I might as well start switching now. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
