------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun May 10 15:38:16 +0000 2009 ------- I found this problem by using OOo 3.x and WinXP. I did not test on any other system. I use English (US) version of OpenOffice with an American keyboard. As my native language is Italian I need to write accented characters like à,è,é, ì,ò,ù by using ALT+133, ALT+138, ALT+130, ALT+141, ALT+149, ALT+151 key combinations, respectively. What I see is that - while being in Writer "INSERT mode" -, I have no problem to get à, è, é, ù. On the contary whe I digit ALt+141 or ALT+149 to get "ì" or "ò" they where inserted before the last character I digited. For example if I have to write: "però" by using ALT+149 I got "peòr". Howeever, if I change the mode and I use "OVERTYPE mode", ò & ì are printed ok on the screen.
