To make the page guides visible, you must enter text into a cell, choose "Page Break Preview" from the "View" menu, and then choose "Normal" from the "View" menu. Once this is done, the page guides will show as they are supposed to. Note, if the spreadsheet already contains text, you do not have to enter any new text. You merely have to toggle the page break preview. You only have to enter text if the sheet is blank.
