I am not able to reproduce the problem. I can record and assign a Macro to "Open
document" event. It is even executed properly when opening a document.
You stated to use OOO310m9 build, which is not the final 3.1. could you please
try with final 3.1 version?
Additionally, please try to delete the config c:\documents and
settings\[user]\application data\openoffice.org.
