Thanks for checking. Looking at http://bugs.icu-project.org/trac/ticket/2387
this is not too surprising
though, as OOo only supports what the underlying layout engine does. ICU
doesn't support Syriac script
yet according to the test and to the tracker ticket. As soon as that support
gets implemented in upstream
ICU it should work in OOo too.
