------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed May 20 13:46:55 +0000 2009 ------- @es (sorry, I'm not sts): The colors of the mimetype icons have been (slightly, but noticeable) modified between OOo2 and OOo3. If you have a look at the Base color, you will see, that it is more darker and reddish than before. Stella provided a comparison at the wiki: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/MimeType_Icons The artist who created the winning splash screen didn't know that and used the OOo2 colors for the dots at the right part of the splash screen. As they are meant as reference for the OOo applications, they should use the OOo3 color scheme. There has been a lengthy thread about that topic on the Art Project mailing list: http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=art&by=thread&from=2218250 Best regards Bernhard PS: The files attached to this issue are outdated already, the actual versions are uploaded to the wiki: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/0/0e/Ooo3_splashscreen_version_colorscheme.png http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/1/1f/Ooo3_aboutbox_version_colorscheme.png http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/5/52/Ooo3_installer_version_colorscheme.png (Installer didn't contain those dots at all) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
