We are running OpenOffice 3.0. We use OpenOffice to extract text from Microsoft formatted documents (word, PowerPoint and Excel). After running for about an hour (I know, not much of a metric), the OpenOffice server hangs. By hang I mean: all processing stops (the CPU usage is approximately zero), but the OpenOffice process is still live (or at least shown in the Windoz process monitor). Our guess is that this problem is due to a memory error.
