------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed May 27 11:35:51 +0000 2009 ------- Attached you find a simple example of an impress document that causes corrput content.xml when altering the document's content and saving it. Scenario: An empty presentation with a table on one slide. Up to here everything is fine and the document can be used. A soon as you edit the file (e.g. add a word in the first line of the table) and save the document. The document cannot be reopened after closing impress. The error message is (translated from German): Format error in document part content.xml at position 2, 4383 (row, col) encountered. The problem in the content.xml seems to be a duplicate attribute entry: style:writing-mode="lr-tb" Manually removing on of the duplicate attributes fixes the problem temporarilly. The document can be opened ... BUT after saving any changes, the attributes AGAIN is duplicated and results in a corrupt content.xml file. We found that completely removing the attribute from the XML nodes where it occured twice fixes the problem. Now the file can be edited, saved and reopened without any problems. Maybe this information can be helpful.
