------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Jun 10 14:41:34 +0000 2009 ------- The callgrind was useful to get a feel what it was doing, but indeed some oprofile "real" samples would be far better than pure computational costs. But in this case good enough to give a hint, and if I calm down the progress bar it "zooms" along. More than likely the time taken to draw the progress bar differs per platform and per vcl-plug. Maybe even per-theme. I see this effect on Linux + GNOME + Nodoka theme on an intel i945 card. For the sake of experimentation I tried again with the "gen" vclplug i.e. export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen and its nearly instantaneous, and blows the unpatched export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk progress-bar out of the water. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
