------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Jun 12 20:34:33 +0000 2009 ------- I thought it was originally because I am converting files from Quattro Pro 9, but the same thing exists with a brand new file in CALC: all numbers show on the screen in BLUE fonts- any font you want, but in blue. If the number is the result of a calculation, it's dark green. But it won't change to any other colour. Tried reformating from the toolbar, setting defaults in Tool, using the right-click menu. It is definitely more stubborn than I am. When I changed some dates from a NUMBER format to a TEXT format--suddenly they were black again. I don't have a colour printer so I don't know if they print blue and green or not, but they display that way and will not change. So my guess is that somehow a default font colour is coded together with the NUMBER attribute and won't be changed. ( I'm not a programmer, so if these are the wrong terms, forgive me)The background colours change just fine.
