I eventually found the italics setting under the Font tab, not Font Effects.
I do not think I am the only person who finds this confusing. The average user
conceives of italics, bold, underline, and strikethrough as all one category.
Having them under two different tabs is confusing.
Have updated the summary heading to reflect this.
