fs->pl: No, what you describe pretty much sounds like issue 102701, an P1
introduced in m50, which makes this version effectively unusable. If you apply
the patch attached to the issue, the assertion you mention will vanish, and the
original assertion will appear (at least this was the case for my m50-based CWS,
where I needed to apply the patch after rebasing).
