For example: a document has a OLE spreadsheet with some calculations in it, and you need to use the results of those calculations, so you go to Insert > Field > Other > From OLE object > select spreadsheet > select cell and the data is inserted into the document as a field (ie. text is uneditable). Perhaps a better way would be to allow Writer to read "Names" of cells from OLE Spreadsheets? ie. edit OLE Spreadsheet, select cell, Insert > Name, then Insert > Field > Other > From OLE object > select spreadsheet > select name Would be good to be able to have the same functionality with DDE linked objects too. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
