------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Jun 18 22:26:22 +0000 2009 ------- When printing a document from the Windows Explorer context menu (right-clicking a document and selecting "print"), the document is correctly printed and closed, but in addition, a new (blank) Writer document session is created and left on the screen. This did not occur with OOo-3.0 (a new document was not created). Tested with .odt and .ods documents; same behavior with both filetypes. The culprit seems to be the Windows installer, which inserts incorrect keys into the Windows Registry. Examination of the Windows Registry reveals the following key responsible for the Print context menu for Writer files: Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\opendocument.WriterDocument.1\shell\print\command containing value "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 3\program\soffice.exe" -p "%1" Adding the "-headless" commandline switch results in the former (expected, proper) behavior: soffice prints the document silently and exits without opening and leaving a new document. Repeat fix for the similarly-named Registry keys pertaining to the print commands of the other OOo programs. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
