I could imagine that the group box draws its frame with, say, one pixel only, while borders for controls may draw more pixels. In this case, lowering the printer resolution to less DPI might change the printing result. (I'm not suggesting this as permanent workaround, I'd just be interested in the result, to understand the cause for the problem.)
