This bug was filed on Novell's Bugzilla, see URL. "Comprehension" see below "

After a while of working or switching the languages in my case from German to
Chinese and back, one is prevented to type any characters or letters within
Opera or OpenOffice.

The mouse is still usable, so you can klick on save before the next step.
If you have an OpenOffice document opened and you click on exit [SKIM]
OpenOffice crashes. SKIM restores itself and you can type again.
Opera does not crash if you exit SKIM,
This behaviour occured first time in OpenSUSE 10.3

Instead of exiting you can also end Opera and OpenOffice and restart them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open OpenOffice
2. Switch several times between Chinese and English/German [CTRL-SPACE] and
wait
3. Exit SKIM
Actual Results:
OpenOffice crashed

Expected Results:
Not crashing, not even been prevented from typing.

KDE3.5 and KDE4.x.x x=means 1,2 and 3 all in use on different computers
Happens if the environment is set as German. Did not check if this occures with
chinese environment.

Did not experience it under Gnome and SCIM

How to start SKIM. OpenSUSE is the easiest way to install Chinese as a second
language.
I only get SKIM properly working if I install Chinese as a second language,
only then I have no problems in activating SKIM, as its handles some shortcuts
differently.
e.g. CTRL+ALT+ left or right is not available for the Compiz cube, you can
select the keyboard input.
But if you have started SKIM you should be able to click on SKIM or SCIM.
Under normal circumstances CTRL+SPACE or SHIFT+SPACE

I set up a Virtual Box of KDE live 11.1
installed Opera 9.64 QT3, Pidgin
oOO 3.1.0 took this one

http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/openoffice/localized/de/3.1.0/

Opened 3.0 Novell Edition of 11.1 and 3.1.0. of OpenOffice.org

I just wanted to go to sleep, because nothing hapened for 6 hours.
And while I was closing 3.1.0, I could not type anymore in NE3.0, So I reopened
oOO3.1.0 and exited SKIM.

Result NE3.0 did not crash and I was able to type again but oOO3.1.0 hangs and
I had to kill the process

Meaning problem occures in Novell Edition of oOO and in the standard oOO
