Hi,
This is a well known side effect of issue 1820 in FR locale at least. So the
decimal separator in FR locale is a coma, then users shouldn't use the numeric
keypad to enter a full stop. The issue is on the keyboard that indicate a coma
instead of a dot, not on OOo.
To get a different behavior (I believe you're under a French environment) go
under Tools > Options > Language Settings > Language and uncheck Same as
language settings or choose another language environment (like Suisse or
Canada).
