I have got a German MS Excel 2007. Steps for me: 1. activate cell, which should get the validity. 2. Goto menu "Daten", part "Datentools", top right icon "Datenüberprüfung" 3. In section "Gültigkeitskriterien" choose "Liste" from drop-down "Zulassen". 4. Input =<sheetname>!<range> directly into the input field.
