Starting OOo from the terminal as you recommended no key presses appear in the OOo window. Whatever had the focus before clicking into OOo window gets the key events. There is no menu, so the submenu crash also can't be generated. Opening documents, selecting and pasting clipboard works fine. Have to end the program after closing the window using Ctrl-C. But no crash as I can't type ... Thought about writing some AppleScript that sends key presses, but am not sure if that would help reproducing the crash.
