Conclusion:
- NO_HIDS is not configurable; it is just disabled in set_soenv.in
- There is no obvious reason why it is somewhere extra disabled for Mac OS X
It worked for me on Mac OS X Intel 10.5 to unset it in bootstrap.sh.
- So there is a need for a configure switch to make NO_HIDS optional.
- Then buildbots could be enabled to deliver installation sets with an
up-to-date hid.lst.
