This is a wontfix/cannotfix.
The font in the entry-bar is the same as used for the menu/other UI of OOo
(File|Edit,....) - as you're using english version of OOo, OOo uses a font
suitable for western characters for display. Those fonts usually don't contain
chinese character, so a font-fallback to another font, probably multiple
different fonts is needed.
So either use a chinese version of OOo (that will default to a chinese-capable
font for UI) or uncheck [ ] use system font for UI in the options and setup a
font-replacement for
"Andale Sans UI" (that is the very first font that is tried as western UI font -
you need to type it in manually if it is not installed) and replace with a font
that is installed and contains the chinese characters in a suitable quality.
Check [x] always and [x] on screen and restart OOo.
